Using a survey collector
Simply put, a "collector" is our abbreviation for the method used to gather survey replies. A collector can be any tool used to gather responses, including survey deployment mechanisms, response gatherers, survey submission accumulators, and more. We at SurveyMonkey offer a number of ways to collect data, such as publishing on a Facebook wall, sending an email invitation, or even embedding it on your business website.
How to collect responses
We have many options for sending surveys. To name a few:
- Web address: Create a unique URL for your survey, then send the link via email using your favourite email programme or post it on your website to collect responses. Additionally, you can display a survey invitation to selected groups of website users.
- Email: You may make your own email lists, tailor email invitations, and deliver surveys by email after adding your contacts to SurveyMonkey Contacts. You may keep track of which respondents have completed the survey and remind those who haven't to do so.
- Website: Include a survey on your website or have it appear as a pop-up window for visitors.
- The internet: You can tweet a link to your survey in public if you have a Twitter account. You can publish a poll on Facebook to your wall and the walls of your friends.
- Purchase a Specific Audience: You can purchase access to a group of people using SurveyMonkey Audience who fit certain demographic requirements for your survey. It's a fantastic approach to elicit precise reactions from a given group.
